Just wanted your guys input before I spend a ton of money on this.

Are the 4th gen (93-95) Borla the same as the (98-02) Borla? I mean as far as tips, and fitment on to a thirdgen? They seem to be quite different.

Looks like the 93-95 comes with more pipeing (prob because the LS1 Borla is for dual cats)? Also the passenger side exit is different from the muffler not to mention the muffler itself looks different. I did read when searching that you need to use some of the stock I pipe? I wanted a full 3". Maybe I'll just buy a 3" I pipe from summit also?

 

I just installed a borla system for a 98+ and it went just fine. only fitment issues were the exhaust rattling when I let my car come to an extreme idle (500 RPM) because the pipes are bent a little wide. When all was said and done, I was very impressed by the sound and performance of this system. although, after the cat, i had to cut and weld, it looks like the LT style has where it bolts up.

350 block, edelbrock short tube headers, 98+ borla adj. exhaust w/ open valve. almost full bolt-ons, running 12's at the track with TPI
