I currently have a 89 tbi that I am swapping over to a 350 tpi. I am going to put a set of headers on the tpi before I install it. My question is, is the y-pipe on my tbi the same as a tpi , to where I can put a set of headers on the tpi and reuse my y-pipe off my tbi motor?

 

Using a stock Y with headers will require modification of some sort. Most members would agree that you'd be wasting your time with a stock Y and headers. Consider the Hooker 2055's which come with a highly regarded Y.

When you buy a new set of headers, you should always buy a new y-pipe that works with the set of headers. Every set if different
