Hooker 2055 collector leak
I have the 2055 headers on my car and I think its leaking where the collector and y-pipe meet. Because, I hear a clicking sound not really at idle but from 1000 to 2000 rpm after 2000 rpm the engine noise drowns it out and it sounds like its coming from under my feet which is were the y-pipe and the collector meet. So this clicking noise is really bugging me, I'm always thinking its a lifter or something...
Anyways I took off the y-pipe to look and I noticed the collector is a little wavy on the rim and alittle black on the flange above that. So I think thats causing my clicking noise. Is there any thing I can use to seal it up?? Like silicone for exhaust? idk I just made that up. But anything like that??
PS. The way it connects to each other is the y-pipe has an opening with a little dish thing and the collectors have little dome type things on it. I don't know what this is called. But I heard it uses no gaskets for this type of connection.
