What is this?
Can anyone tell me what this piece is under my car (or what it once was). It's next to the cat and is covered with oil. It's just dangling there, lol.

Yeah, I went out there and tapped on it with a stick, so I see how it works now. I think I'll get the soft part off of there and clean the rest with degreaser. It looks like a fire hazard to me. Now I need to figure out where the oil is coming from.
