02 sensor placement
i have hedman longtubes with a custom built y pipe and a flowmasters 80 series catback with a highflow converter and i was wondering where would be the best place to put the 02 sensor.... i know the stock place is on the drivers side of the exhaust but wouldn't i get a better reading if the 02 sensor was place where the y pipe meets as one so it can give an accurate reading of both sides of the exhaust instead of the drivers side...... opinions are greatly needed thanks...

Re: 02 sensor placement
as long as the engine is in good running condition it doesn't matter if its in one pipe or both, the o2 sensor reads in ppm (parts per million). meaning its reading a percentage of air/fuel not a specific amount of one or the other.
