Cleaning out Exhaust

Alright, getting a new muffler cuz i want a little more noise. I ordered a Dynomax Super Turbo Dual Outlet that will fit in my stock location in my 92 rs
I looked into the whole catback etc but i dont really want to spend more than i have to = ST muffler and tips-$100 vs. cat back $200
My camaros not in any decent condition (RUST) to put a lot of money into it and I can probably get the pipes later if i wanted to?
enough about the car...this may sound terrible to some...but is there a way you can clean out your exhaust pipes well? Theres got to be a SH*T TON of buildup in there after 16yrs. The new pipes aren't worth buying new especially with everything else stock.

Re: Cleaning out Exhaust

The pipes dont matter too much. When I did my exhaust, the muffler and cat sounded like they were full of beans or something. Just filled with rust crud. It seems to accumulate in the muffler and cat, could just chop the cat off, get a little straight pipe, put that on and get the new muffler. That should take care of 90% of the crud and you should feel a difference if they have never been replaced.
