I need alittle advice here.
Hey guys, i was wondering if i could get some quick advice. I'm trying to finalize the details on my exhaust setup so that i can order the right things, and I'm not sure i'm looking at it the right way or not. All i have to go off for sure is Dyno Don's headers (check your PM). I'm currently trying to decide if i want dual cats of single cats, but i think that's going to be based off my catback. I keep fighting back and forth between a 3" catback or a 3.5" catback, and i don't know the real hardcore math behind which is going to be better. Here's the details
30 over rebalanced and rebuilt L98
10.5 compression
AFR heads.
Crower cam (shootin for 1500-6500 RPM range)
FIRST fuel injection intake
fresh/upgraded valvetrain
custom CAI
150 shot of nitrous.
So what kind of catback do i need? Will a 3" be too restrictive? If so, then will 3.5" be just right? I think if i went 3.5" i'd have the I-pipe custom made mated to this Magnaflow muffler http://tinyurl.com/57ftct with custom tips, but i'd also need dual cats because they don't make a 3.5in ID/OD cat, and i really want to stay within the relm of legality here. But if a 3" catback (hooker) would be OK, they i would much prefer that, and i would also go with a single cat setup for simplicity and cost, because my budget is tight.
So what do you need for 2.5"s into a single? I know area wise a single 3.5" is very close to dual 2.5s, but I also know the gas will cool and become more dense, taking up less space. But then through the 150 shot of nitrous in there and i just don't know what diameter pipes i need.
Help?
Thank you so much!

A 3 inch exhaust should be good to 375 horse. A 3.5 will be good to 503 hp. If you plan on adding more in the future I would go with a 3.5 mufflex with a ultraflo muffler. Thats the route I am going.

Well the motor should be running ~400HP and as much torque. maybe alittle short of 400 but you get the picture. THen the 150 shot = ~550. So i guess that means take the 3.5"???
And how much would the mandrel bent 3.5" I-pipe cost at an exhaust shop.. anyone got any idea? I asked a shop and the guy just kinda brushed me off.
