"Need the true duals" blues
So I have got a bit of a question for you all, does anyone know a good source for nice header back exhaust kits? I have an '84 Z28 and where I live smog is not that much of an issue so the stock exhaust and EGR systems are history. I am looking for something in a two and a half inch tubing that will give a loud, solid tone. I have found a couple of two and a quarter inch kits, but they do not come with mufflers, and I am not very thrilled about the way two and a quarter tubing sounds. Do people make kits like this? If so does anyone have any good sources? Or should I just buy cut-outs, mufflers, and have an exhaust shop custom fab some tubing for me? I would really like to spare that expense. Thanks guys.

First,
There is even a sticky at the top of this forum detailing how to do true duals.
Nobody makes a kit for these cars. You have to buy the pipes and make it yourself (or at an exhaust shop).
However, its my opinion a 3" or 3.5" single pipe flows just as well as a dual 2.5" exhaust, but, it doesnt sound as good.

Re: "Need the true duals" blues
I did search, and I did read the sticky, however i have grown tired of fabricating my own exhaust systems especially since I have to use a friends shop and tubing bender to do it. I was mearely looking to see if anyone here knew of any companies selling descent dual kits that would save me a weekends worth of work. As far as a single exhaust goes, after installing long tube headers and removing ALL of the smog equipment, the extra work it would take to adapt a single pipe system would be silly when it still didn't function like a solid dual setup. And since you mentioned the sound aspect, I really don't like the way the single pipe systems sound. Good thing I know where to get plenty of 3" stainless pipe.
