Flowmaster 80 series fitment

I am looking to put an 80 series on my car but I noticed one problem. The mid pipe is 2.75 in and the only 80 series that I see for sale are either 2.5 or 3 inch mufflers. What did you guys out there with stock exhaust do? Also, with the 80 series, do the tailpipes exit in the exact location as they do from the stock muffler or are they a little bit off?

Have a piece of pipe expanded so it fits over the 2.75" pipe and inside the 3" muffler inlet.

My tailpipes went exactly in the same place.

Re: Flowmaster 80 series fitment

When I got my car, it had the stock exhaust with an 80 series. He used a small adapter between the muffler and pipe. I believe it was a 2.75 to 3" adapter.
