4" exhaust with dynatech splitflow race muffler
finished up a new exhaust for my car, i still have to finish the headers and y mods, but the cat back is finished. Only pic i took, the batteries in my camera died in the cold. It puts the muffler in the factory CAT location, and im going to run shorties with a 4" y-pipe back to this later, maybe this winter/spring.
You can barely see it, but i made a factory style hanger for the rear or of 3pcs of 3/8 round stock, bent and welded to the pipe, that uses the factory body mount for the muffler on the passengerside. And i used a universal hanger to make a hanger for the muffler that used one of the cat heat shield mounting tabs. It actually fits real well, i have the same ground clearance that i did with the old 3" flowmaster setup and it sounds soo much better. No rasp, no resonance, nice crisp sound thats not too loud either!
I used a Dynatech split flow race muffler, 4" in and out, 2-4" mandrel bent 90's, 3-4" mandrel bent 45's, and a dynatech turn down with a cone baffle installed, all welded together with a tab type connection where the pipe goes over the axle so i can take it apart with relative ease. I had to trim most of the bends to fit, but it all came together very well, i was kinda surprised how nicely it all happened.

now, the reason for the whole setup is i swapped out my fuel tank for an aluminum one from Nasty Performance, my flowmaster setup didnt fit and i didnt want to mess with it and i wanted to make a 4" exhaust so i figured this was the time for it. I was unable to use the factory heat shields under the fuel tank, so i relocate the muffler and where the pipes get close to the tank and floor i wrapped it. So far i love it! It sounds so nice.
