I am wanting to install a side pipe exhaust kit on my 1986 Firebird but unfortunately I am not 100% sure on what may be required or if it is even a possible idea. I am looking for people who may have done an exhaust set up like this that could give me some insight on this. I am also looking for pictures of the people cars that have done an exhaust set up like this. I want to install the Hooker Headers shieldless side pipe kit but like I said I don't have enough knowledge or if it is even possible to make this kit work.

 

I have seen people do this set up, a few people on the forum has this done. long tube headers is best for this and ground clearance will be an issue more than likely. I have tried turnouts before the back tires but my car sets so low i would of had to get some air shocks.

 

There is a black camaro with it on you tube. it looks nice but way to low to be driven on most roads.
