SLP Loudmouth 1

I recently bought an 88 Trans Am 305..I have run into a problem...I love the SLP Loudmouth 1 Sound. Two of my friends have them on there cars..one being a fourth gen WS6 and 2004 Ford Mustang. Sounds very mean.

Anyways, my problem is, im having trouble trying to figure out how i would install the SLP. Since the muffler has 2 inlets and 1 outlet. Does anybody have any idea how i would get this job done? This is really the only sound i want for my car. I have performance headers and a high flow cat. and i really think this would def. give this car a great mean sound.

ANY IDEAS

Re: SLP Loudmouth 1

the loudmouth 1 is a single in/single out resonator, so have the exhaust shop run the muffler before the axle then split to the two tips after that, like the ls1 systems. unless you want a single tip, then you could just have the shop weld it on in the factory location and then run a single outlet from there.

Re: SLP Loudmouth 1

if i did the second suggestion you mentioned...(personal preference) do you think it would not as nice with just a single tip?

Like it would be a better idea to just tell the shop to just run the muffler before the axle right?

Re: SLP Loudmouth 1

i personally like the dual tips so i'd weld it on before the axle, but its your ride worry about what you like.

Re: SLP Loudmouth 1

they use the loudmouth 1 or the loudmouth 2, which are both resonator types. slp also has an actual muffler that was released for the folks that don't like the barely muffled sound but i can't remember what its called. anyway the loudmouth 1 is basically an expanded hollow tube nothing in it at all. the loudmouth 2 has a perforated core, but its still loud. hope that answers your questions.
