New Headers... bolt size?
I recently removed my exhaust manifold on my carbed (previously TBI) 305. I am installing hedman shorty headers (68470) and stupidly I got rid of all of the bolts from manifold i took off. What size bolts to I need to put the hedman headers on, and are different lengths required for different holes? Also... it looks as though the passenger side header will be really close as far as clearance with the passenger side wheel well and one of the hard cooling pipes... anyone have any issues with these headers? Thanks for all of your help.

Re: New Headers... bolt size?
Just go to the auto parts store and ask for header bolts for a SBC. They are a 3/8"-16 thread, with about 1" of threads, and you need 12. They all need to be the same length.
If you just get hardware store bolts, make sure you get ones where the heads will clear the primaries on the headers.

Re: New Headers... bolt size?
great, thanks. I've got the headers on, how close can the brake lines be to the headers without the temperature causing a problem? The headers are not ceramic coated.

If you think the brake lines are close enough to the headers to be concerned about, post a pic.
As long as they are in the stock location, they should be fine. Brake fluid doesn't boil until 400*+.
