I'm going from a 3" to a 2.5" set up. Right now It's got one of those dynomax direct fit high flow cats. Should I just keep it on or toss it? I don't really see it making much of a difference on a 305 with manifolds. Especially a TBI car. Yes or no?

No, I was just tossing the idea around. My silverado had no cats and it was nuts loud. That was a 5.3 with LT's though

why are you going from a 3 inch to a 2.5 exhaust?

3" is way too much for a stock TBI 305. It makes a lot of noise taking off, but doesn't really take off. I lost a lot of low end, even keeping the chokemaster.
