need some help

i am having a hard time finding an exhaust set up for my 86 firebird. I live in washington state and we have the grandfather rule. anything that is 25 years or older no longer has to go through emissions. i am looking for a dual exhaust header back system with an x pipe set up. i need it to be on the cheaper side as there are other steps of restoration that need to be taken on the car as well. i have looked at summit racing and the only kit that works for the 86 is not something i am interested in. if you guys could recomend a kit to me i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

2009-1986=23. i think you might need to go through emissions still...but there is no true dual exhaust systems that are made directly for f-bodies, if you want duals you gotta get them custom made. if i were you i would save my money on custom exhaust and buy a 3in catback that follows stock routing. also check out all the stickies at the top of each section. they will answer 99.99% of the questions you may have. including the question you just asked.

Re: need some help

what part of WA are you in.. im in Spokane..

I keep my Car reg out of bremerton WA.. no checky... it's worked for me for the last 17 years... Just a Heads Up..

My eng needs a bit more Header..
im taking off My SLP 1 3/4" ss Headers and Y
made to fit a eldelbrock Cat Back..

im Keeping the catback and going with Hooker long tubes2210's
would be a shame to Just Dump the Headers in the trash.. after all they are SS and are all Set up for the .O2. and made to drop into a 3rd gen.. what todo what todo..
