o2 simulator?

My problem is, my headers do not have a spot for an o2 sensor. so id have make one, buuut i dont have a welder, i dont know anyone with a welder, and no exhaust shop will touch my car without cats on it. will an o2 simulator work? Anyone have any experience with these things? Appreciate it!

Re: o2 simulator?

not really, with as little of inputs as our cars have to tune, you need that o2.....a few options, take the left header out of the car and then get a shop to weld it in, or go buy the o2 bung and go to a utility trailer/welding type shop and ask them to weld it in more than likely they will care less if it has a cat or not

last thing i can think of is to cut out about 3/4" of exhaust pipe, then get a exhaust band clap, they are normaly stainless steel and about 4"-5" long the are used to butt up to exhaust pipes that are the same size without the swedge in it, anyway take that band clamp and drill a hole in it the size of the threds on the o2, get a bolt that matches the thred on the o2 and use it to hold the o2 in the band clamp, then install the band clamp, you want it as close to the collector as you can get and may want to upgrade to a heated o2 also

only other thing is post up in your regional section a post like "mig/flux core welder near (your town) needed" someone on the board should help you out, bring a case of beer for the person as payment
