Re: FLAME THROWERS. comments/suggestions
I thought the flames in the video Jeromey Cummins posted were pretty cool... but over all the video itself wasn't that great. As someone said, showing 'top secret' over the quarter time was really dumb

"LOL That video is exhibit A why F-bodies have such a red-neck reputation. From the music, to the street racing, to the flame throwers... Wow. Just... Wow. All it's missing is the Larry the Cable Guy cameo."
I know that f bodys have a red neck reputation, but you can't tell that from the video. Come on. The music was Rammstein. I started listening to them a while back, and admittedly the song from the video is not one of their best songs, but I don't know how you got that it was red-neck. red-necks listen to like country and lynrd skinnrd and stuff (Please keep in mind I'm not calling people who listen to that music red-necks). Rammstein is a metal band from Germany and most of their songs are in German, and while they are certainly not your typical band, they sure as hell aren't red-neck.
Also, I don't think of streetracing as being red-neck... maybe if they were racing tractors or something. I tend to associate street racing with ricers and the like. The only thing red-neck could be the flame throwers... but with most, when things are done right, they look good. I'm from NY, so I guess I don't know much about red-necks, but please, Rammstein is not red-neck.
That video that RS reaper posted wouldn't be so bad if you watched it on mute! It sounded horrible. The flames weren't too bad though. If it had a V8 I think the flames wouldn't have been so choppy. Thats why the ricers flames suck: because they just don't have the extra gas.
Now I know I am going to take serious hits for this, but when done right, most things look good. Now that doesn't mean that they are your favorite thing in the world, or that you would do the same, but you still can respect it. Thats the way I am with *SOME* (very few!) tuners. Like the ones that actually use body effects that effect aerodynamics and not obnoxious paint jobs and ect. When I (rarely!) see cars like that, I say that while I would not do that, they did their car right.
Thats the way I am with flame kits. I actually want one, but it won't look like that v6 camaro. Mine has the deep sound to back it up. Not so much the sub 10 drag times, but I am only in high school, I do what I can.

Def doesnt help that it sounds like crap. It looks like the way im gunna run my exhuast is right infront of the rear tires. Wont put flame throwers on if I go that route, otherwise if i run it out the rear Ill try to put em back on.

Re: FLAME THROWERS. comments/suggestions
The flame thrower kit is activated by a button in the compartment, you wont accidently get flames from it like that. Also you cant even see the spark plugs in the tailpipes unless u are looking hard for em and are a distance away, or if u lay ur *** on the ground. As long as you are smart about when u do it and arnt just driving around town shootin flames I think u will be fine. The kit i have you must rev the engine, push the button which stalls the engine, then pump the gas to pour it down into the exhaust while still holding the button, then let off and the engine fires right back up and flames shoot out the exhaust.

Well i really dont like the smoke screens, if i want smoke ill just make it with my tires. Ive been thinkin about the propane, but it looks like it can be pricey. Im gunna look into doing propane now, i think it would prbly be a better idea, more control and no harm on the engine.

I'll take the smoke screen. I always wanted to reenact a scene from a James bond movie.

i cant believe the knight rider guys arent all over that.
use them both. if you could time them right, it would be a pretty cool trick.

[QUOTE=92z28camarokid;4391734] Sounds like a V6. It was definitely not a V8 & a WEAK flame anyways.
Very cool, when done right & on a V8. But I don't wanna know what that one would do to our urethane bumper!

Re: FLAME THROWERS. comments/suggestions
OH. Makes sense. I'd rather do some beneficial mods vs that.
