Swapping Exhaust Systems?
I have a 91 camaro I am looking to modify, and I also have a 85 IROC parts car. The IROC has a 3" Magnaflow exhaust system on it, and it almost brand new. My 91 Camaro has stock 2 1/4". With the exception on rusty bolts and hardware, would anyone see any issues swapping exhausts from car to car? Is this a good idea? Does it make sense? Worth the work? It seems like it would be for me as it would be a performance builder, and I already own it, but I am having nightmares thinking about trying to swap exhaust systems from 2 different cars with no hydraulic lift! I have called around to some local shops to see if they would let me drive them both down to do the swap, but no one can shoot me a ballpark price of what this would cost to do? Thanks for any insight you could provide!

Re: Swapping Exhaust Systems?
dont see any reason why it wouldnt work, its all the same body to body, so it shouldnt be an issue, i did all my exhaust on the ground, your biggest issue is gonna be the intermediate pipe over the axle, if youre brave enough you can just unbolt the rear and jack up the body and go from there, and what i did personally to make it easier on me is instead of welding in my cat i put a flange on each side of it so i could replace it with a straight pipe when im not running emissions, itd be well worth it and if you can avoid the shops that would be your best bet, save yourself a bit of cash and get your hands dirty
