How many of you people out there have made rear wheel horsepower over 370 with long tubes and your car is not a full blown race car and can pass smog? I bet we have more people out here in Southern Cali that made more than 370hp with 1 3/4 shorties than most people on thirdgen with longtubes. On the southern cali board we are trying to tell all of you that you can make good hp with shorties and with all the smog equiptment. the most hp you will loose is about 7hp. What is the difference in losing 7hp in the quarter if its that much?

Flowmaster is the worse muffler to buy and it has been proven you will loose hp. Magnaflow and Hooker Maxi-Flow are the best flowing mufflers to buy without all the noise.

If you are worrying about passing smog, talk to us on the southern cali board for the best advise. And really the best advise is that you leave the smog equiptment hook up and run dual cats into a 3-3 1/2 exhaust system.

Longtubes are a waste of time unless you're building an all race car. If you want the best set of 1 3/4 shorty headers, contact Dyno Don for his headers or find a set of SLP 1 3/4 headers. Dyno Don is on the southern cali board and he has the best fit mate headers. You will waste your money on other brands.

What ever you people are trying to do, STOP TRYING TO RE-EVENT THE WHEEL! Southern cali is the best way to go for a everyday street car.
