Ok Im looking into getting a new engine put into my 91 rs and I figured I would get headders along with it...right now im looking at a couple options(engine wise) either an Lt-1 or a custom built 350. My question is will headders with 1 5/8" primaries or work on any 350 block as long as the headders are thirdgen specfic. If not which ones should I use, Im also looking for the best and most affordable headder and y-pipe I can get.Any Info or suggestions?

 

LT1 needs a 1 5/8 primary or a D-Port design

I want to say it's hedman pn 68469 by glancing at my old LT1 swap notes.

 

What about a normal Carbed 350?

 

The exhaust bolt pattern is the same between SBC and LT1. As long as you have 1 5/8" primaries it will fit both. Why you'd use smaller on either, I dont know

 

What size do you suggest to use then
