I need a 3" cat back system with no muffler. (Just all the pipes from out of the headers back) Does autozone do something like this?

 

That would be called the intermediate pipe, and yes. Dynomax has a 2 piece 3" intermediate pipe that autozone should be able to get. Do a search in this forum or on Summit's site and I'm sure you can get the part numbers of the 2 pieces.

Engine-->headers-->intermediate pipe--->Y-pipe--->cat-->pipes to muffler--->Muffler--->pipes going out

or is that no where near right? if so, I'd need a 3" inter, y, and the pipes to the muffler right?

So I just need to call up autozone and tell them I need a 3" Ypipe and intermediate pipe? What are the odds that they would fit with a cherry bomb vortex muffler?

 

it'll fit any 3" muffler that's got a 14" case. The only issue is that you'll need to fabricate a tailpipe.

 

Well, I decided to go with an Flowmaster American Thunder 80 series. 3"in/outs. Getting it for around $325.
