Installing Headman LT's with T-5

I know I need S extensions. BUT, the headers I have are 1 5/8 primaries and 3" collectors.

Someone recommended me to buy this:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/188...oductId=744777
Unifit 2-1/2'' Tube Diameter
3'' Collector Flanges
2/pkg

Wouldn't I need 3" tube diameter to weld them onto the headers?Similar to this:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/187...oductId=744777

The way I took it is I have to cut the ball flange off the header than weld these on is that correct?

Does anyone have pictures of headman LT headers installed on their T-5?
Anyhelp is appreciated.

So you wanna go from your 3" collector into a 2 1/2" Y-pipe? What size is the rest of your exhaust (the last half) 2.5-3"?
Either way, there's no problem in doing that.... I would keep your ball flange though because it'll make it alot easier to hook up the system and adjust it at whatever angle you want it. The Hedman ball flange was my saviour!

Check this out.... all parts are for 2 1/2" diameter but going to 3" is just a click away.

Magnaflow Stamped Y-pipe 2.5" in 2.5" out http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-10768/

You'll need 2 ball flanges, 1-3 band clamps depending where you want to make your system separate (which makes things easier in the longrun), and at least 4 bent elbows plus the Manufactured Y-pipe.

Working around the manual transmission is a dream compared to the Automatic which has absolutely no room to work!

Re: Installing Headman LT's with T-5

Honestly, I just want to have the headers, than about 6 inchs of pipe, into a glass pack than dumped. I don't have too much to spend on an exhaust system right now.

So I would have a glass pack on each side.

I also want to stay with 3 inches if at all possible.
I have a welder, but I don't know how to weld so I guess I will be learning? Lol

The collector is gonig to be sharing the same space with the clutch slave cylinder. You're going to have to seriously alter the driver's side header to make it fit. It can definitely be done, but it's not something a BFH can fix.
