Ordered Hooker 2055, Should I paint?
Ordered Hooker 2055, Should I paint?
I ordered these finally, the description says "steel, painted".
What can I do to make it last longer? Should I paint it with jet-hot or something simillar to add protection from rust or put them on like that?

VHT is the best "paint" you can get for exhaust components.
Duplicolor bought the brand a while back, so its much more readily
available at the big outlets, like O'Reillys & AutoZone.

the paint on the headers now is just there to keep them from rusting in the box on the shelf. it will burn off immediately once installed. So yes, get some hi temp exhaust paint and paint them.
