2 inlet / 1 outlet muffler?

Has anyone come across a muffler with two inlets and only one outlet? I am thinking something like a 2.5" duel inlet with a 3" single outlet.

The closest I've found is this (obviously 4 into 1)...

My current plan is to have a y-pipe (for the LT1 soon to be dropped in) fabbed to run to a small muffler where the cats used to be, under the side of the car and exit before the rear wheel. Just got to thinking if it would save any $$ instead of having the y-pipe fabbed to just terminate both banks into the muffler.
