header back exhaust?
just wundering what the power gains would be on a lo3 with an x stream air intake and shorty hooker headers high flow cat and flowmaster 3in cat back? just starting the build on my car and looking at the posibilitys and what this set up might give me if anyone could help . thanks.

Probably in the range of 10-15hp. The stock exhaust on these cars is terrible. Dont expect a whole lot of increase with the xstream open element with a stock hood, but i'd still do it. I noticed a pretty decent difference with headers and exhaust. Sounds like your on the right track as far as basic mods.

hedman sells a pretty decent pair of headers with a Y pipe. put the headers on then the Y pipe on and weld/ bolt a flowmaster on it maybe 15 horse gain but you will be happy with it.
