Has anyone tried to use a 4th gen long tube Y pipe on a 3rd gen? With any luck? I'm looking at PaceSetter Performance 82-1161 Y pipe and was wondering if I could weld a 3 bolt ball flange (I think thats what its called) to it and hook it up to some headmen long tubes on a 3rd gen.

I have a 305 in the car now but and trying to keep a 350 swap in mind for the future. I am also considering Flowtech 16102FLT setup and having a muffler shop modify the outlet to a 3 inch pipe. Would the 1 1/2 inch primaries be ok for a mild 350? I know that anything is better than my stock cast iron logs :P
