silly cat-back question
Hey guys, newb question here. I'm gonna be dropping my fuel tank soon to perform the dreaded fuel pump swap and while I have the rear axle out, I wanted to bolt in a new 3" mandrel bent cat-back with a magnaflow muffler (heard good things about them). I'd like to swap the stock manifolds for headers sometime, but that's going to have to wait. Can I swap in the new 3" catback in with the factory catalytic converter, manifolds, and y-pipe for now and then swap those out for shorty headers later on? And any recommendations for the cat-back? And am I correct to understand that the magnaflows are good at keep interior drone down?
Thanks guys!

Re: silly cat-back question
Your stock exhaust is 2.5in or maybe 2.25in, so you'll need a 3" to whatever coupler to connect it, available at any auto parts store. Just don't weld anything that is getting replaced soon.
You don't have to remove the rear axle, just drop it down enough to skinny the intermediary pipe/muffler out. Just don't stretch too much or break the rubber brake hose on driver side rear.
