custom exhaust?

im looking to, when i get the money, to do a dual exhaust that come out below the doors. kinda like what ford did on their older gt500. but i want the flat tip, like you see alot of 3rd and 4th gens have. cutting part of the lower panel and getting it flush with the car, right as the real wheel grove starts. would there be a way to do this? if not could there be an explanation? i dont even know why i cant do a true dual exhaust with out making it custom. and incite would be awesome.

Re: custom exhaust?

jack up the car and look at the underside, you shoudl be able to see why it has top be custom. As for exiting the pipe before the wheels, your not going to have much ground clearance at all, and you really can get the pipe up and intot he rocker because the control arm mounts and "frame" are in the way. Thats why you dont see it done this way.

there are no good dual kits simply because the routing is difficult. Its possible, and many people have dual setups here. there is little advantage to a dual setup other than sounds anyway. especially on a LO3...
