loss of power?
Well i just put on my hooker 2460's and y-pipe. I ditched the cat and y-pipe bolted straight to the pre existing cat back. Its 2.5" pipe into a single inlet dual outlet muffler, i believe its a flowmaster. Anyways it feels like it killed my bottom end, i know it has plenty of back pressure im just curious if this is normal and if it just moved my torque curve to a higher rpm?
Re: loss of power?
backpressure is not a good thing
did it move your torque curve; perhaps but not anything you would notice
did you get gains; some
can you now get to your spark plugs much easier; you betcha
please look up volumetric efficiency as well as exhaust scavenging and you will never ever ever ever ever listen to people who tell you that backpressure is a good thing.
I am not going to give you the answer because I'm just an anonymous poster. I am however telling you what to go research so you may educate yourself.
