Header Restoration and Paint! Pics!

Hi Everyone, I got some Flowtech headers for a steal at a swap meet a few days back and have decided to start prepping them for header paint (VHT RED Ceramic Rattle Can). I used 2 different 3M adhesive wheels for a drill, drill, sand paper, masking tape, and a can of brake cleaner for removing grease. I will be doing a quick run through with pictures on how to do this properly. Any questions or concerns are more than welcome! COMMENT!

Nice. I wouldnt tape anything. Not going to hurt anything getting some overspray into the tubes. Good luck on paint. When I got my first set of headers I painted them right from the box with VHT, and baked them per the instructions and within a little amount of time it was burned off and rusting. Ii turned to Jet-Hot now and never look back.

I wouldnt bother restoring flowtechs. The amount you spent on the paint and sanding supplies can almost buy another set

As said before, you dont have to tape off the primaries. Funk in the engine is a bad thing. Funk in the exhaust affects almost nothing
