Exhaust tips compatible with muffler?

Hey it's Jake again and I took all of your guys' advice and decided just to put a flowmaster 80's series on it and leave the stock pipes, never the less, it needs new tail pipes now, plus new tail pipes would just look beautiful now. So I'll link the pipes I was looking to buy and the muffler I installed on my car, and I was wondering if the two parts will fit together easily. The muffler is slightly smaller then the stock muffler was so take that into consideration. I'm not sure if the tail pipes I'm looking at will fit in the placement the originals did. Also feel free to make suggestions for tailpipes that would fit and/or look good on my car. Thanks!

By the way, I'm very satisfied with the way my new flowmaster sounds driving down the road. But it still idles pretty quiet. I would like it a just a little more noticeable while it idles, a more muscle car idle. Suggestions? Thanks!

1. Measure diameter of your current tail pipes

2. Cut off tail pipes

3. Replacew ith new tail pipes of the same diameter or with a reducer/whatever to make it fit.

Just pick something from this thread and then go to a reputable muffler shop.
They should have what your looking for besides for a little more you can have them put them on properly.

This is a debate over sound volume with the 80 series = https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/afte...eries-not.html

Heres one more = https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...80-series.html

IMO its the stock cat and pipes are "one" of the things that are holding you back. I have the 3" American Thunder cat back with a high flow Magnaflow cat, stock Y pipe and stock manifolds and its plenty loud at idle.
Unfortunately if you have a muffler with these dimensions = http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flo-42583/overview/= it kind of stops you in your tracks when you try to upgrade to a 3"system.
