Yesterday was a nice day so I decided to take my camaro out. I was driving all day and I had no probelms. When it came time to put it in the garage I started it up and I hear this loud rattle coming from the middle of the car. My friend said it sounded like the exhaust was rattling. I had this car since Oct and I never heard that noise before. Earlier in the day I had two of my friends in the car dunno with all the weight maybe I hit something now I am getting a rattle. I started it today and it was doing the samething. Once again it sounds like its coming from the middle of the car.

 

Jack the car up, crawl under, do a visual along with some pawing around.

If you cant find the cause while your under there try making a ball out of aluminum foil and tuck it snugly between the cat and the top shield/shield and bottom of the car.Then give it a test.Don't push it to far because this is just to see if the shield is causing the problem.

 

Maybe it's your muffler? The plate things inside my muffler came loose and now they occasionally rattle like crazy. It helped a lot when I took some heat proof insulation and jammed it between the top of the muffler and the muffler heat shield.
