So I got a 84 Z28 carbed and yesterday I sawed off the muffler, I uploaded a vid on youtube, just wanna see what you guys think?


and also I have the problem in which I gotta rev up the engine so that it can start this was already an issue before I had sawed off the muffler, and the second problem is my high idle as I just said I already had the problem.

Have you tried throttle body cleaner?

 

check for a vacuum leak. disconnect a vaccum hose and blow a whole bunch of smoke through it (fog machine, cigar, etc). The leak(s) will let smoke come out so you can see which hose is bad.

Or you can spray carb cleaner around the hoses and the idle will rise around the leak.

Should hear a hissing sound where the leak is too.

 

funny enough after I used carb cleaner on the carb it started acting like this...lol

 

Is it computer controlled? I'd check the choke too see if that's the problem also.
