Transmission: 5-Speed
Axle/Gears: Lazy 2 check
Smog Puno Delte....will it affect performace??
So I got a 84 Z28 carbed engine, and I was wondering if I removed the smog pump, in what ways will it affect the engine??and that when smog time comes along I just reinstall it back on there..?thanks!

It will affect performance at the inspection station. INSTANT FAIL.
Won't make a detectable difference anywhere else.
Don't even think about it, where you live. Not worth the trouble of dinking with it.

All it does is blow fresh air into your exhaust manifolds and catalytic converter to burn excess hydrocarbons (unburnned fuel). It's an emissions device only. It does nothing other than add a pulley onto your belt system, and clean up your tail pipe gasses.

and blowing air into the exhaust is gonna make it all better. I find that odd to begin with be hey if its what they are looking for and i see ou live in CA I would leave it
