Hooker 2210 / LT1 / T56 ?
I have a pretty aggressive LT1/T56 swap in a third gen Camaro running approximately 500 horsepower. The car is breathing through some tiny Edelbrock shorty headers and a 3" hooker aero chamber catless headerback exhaust. I definitely think I am being held back by this setup.
I found a set of Hooker 2210 headers with a 3" to 4" Y-pipe. They are 1 3/4" primary diameter and will supposedly clear angled plugs of my LT1 aluminum heads. Can anyone chime in and let me know?
Is anyone here with a high horsepower setup running these or something similar? Please help me out... Thanks!

My motor puts out about 525HP @ the flywheel. I use the 2210's. I have angle plugs and they clear with no problems. No Y-pipe however. I have looked into the Flowmaster Y300400 (3-4") and a single to the axle with a 4" race muffler. I just can't wrap my head around how to plumb everything around the UMI TH400 crossmember. My car sits pretty low.

Definitely worth the uprgrade but be prepared for some work installing them! I have AFR angle plug heads and they clear pretty well but I do use some Taylor plug wire high heat insulators on a couple wires. Should work for the LT1 as well. Also, I ended up having a local shape make me a custom y-pipe using mandrel 45 bends and the flowmaster Y. Mufflex makes the premade y-pipe but it didn't fit on mine so I had to go this route. Much better in the end as its made to fit the car perfectly! Nice snug fit to the crossmember and driveline. Good luck!
