So Im thinking about getting this cutout on ebay, it runs around $150 and performance wise will it do anything?mods on my car are: Hooker 2055 headers, 3" straight pipes, Flowmaster 40 series, Edelbrock intake manifold. Sorry if Ive this question has already been answered in the past.

Make it stupid loud.....I have a mccord power plate with super comp longtubes 3'' back to a flowmaster..... way to lound, when i drove the car I only opened it on the highway when I was playing around

 

shoot...so wouldn't reccomend spedning the money to get one....all it really does is make it louder?NO Performance?

 

if I were ya I'd stay away from it since your in the smog natzi state....

But if you do get one get an electric cut out from a good that has good ratings... and Remember its your car

 

well I got no cat on the car...so Im have to find someone to pass it regardless

 

in CA, cut outs are legal, so long as they are after the cat. Also, when u smog, u need to take to electric out and put in a fixed cap on it.

a buddy of mine had a cutout on his LS1 camaro. on a stock motor, TPI especially, the lack of flow into the engine will be more of a limit than the ability to flow in exhaust. The cutout will help with the higher revs, and the TPI has issues getting into the higher revs
