Dual sidepipe?

I was wondering If I could run longtube headers, high flow cats, into staight pipes that bend out right infront of the rear wheels. Would that sound good and be possible?

Re: Dual sidepipe?

it's probably possible and I think it would sound pretty good, but there isn't a lot of ground clearance so...

Re: Dual sidepipe?

I just got my car last month and it came with dual side pipes right in front of the rear tires. There is hardly any clearance at all. I grind over any speedbump no matter what angle I take it. I also grind whenever I don't see a pot hole. They look cool and sound good, but you will eventually just tear them up with no ground clearance. I have it in the shop this week to have them re-routed to the rear sadly.

Re: Dual sidepipe?

hello meanfbird,i just read your thread on those side pipes. i had bought a 91 formula back in the spring and dumped a lot some of cash in it ( just a hobby) and was thinking abouit putting a set of side pipes on it. people says it cant be done.as you know anything can be done. what i was wondering was how loud they were on your car. sorta stock sounding , a deep sound ? and if they was a good tight fit. just courious your the first i came across with this type exhaust
