Have 82-86 305ci Edelbrock headers/y-pipe

Hi all
I bought these many years ago when I was going to hot rod the 85 Camaro 305 Vin H I have but never did. Now that I am going to fix it up for cruise nights, and am now not required in Illinois for emissions, I was going to use these and cut off the emissions piping as I am now removing all emissions stuff.

However, It just occurred to me that maybe someone with emissions may be interested in buying these and I shouldn't cut them up? I tried to look these up for current pricing and it appears they are no longer made.

These headers are new, black finish with a few scratches from moving around, have the y-pipe and hardware kit and the instructions, which say: "Catalog Number 6871 (patent pending) 1982-86 Camaro and Firebird with LG4 (low output) 305ci

It also says "this system requires no welding and retains all OEM stock emissions equipment"

Are these desirable? ,what are they worth, and should I try to sell to you guys and just get non-emissions type for my project??

thx in advance for your info/comments

I would be interested in the y pipe. I had just bought a used pair and was going to have the y fab for my setup. From what I have read they are decent headers just not made anymore. A lot of people are switching from shorty headers to long tube.

I'm pretty sure that the pipe into the cat is going to be 2.25", like stock - not 3" like the 86 and up TPI cars came with.

That said, even with the headers, you will be choking the motor by going that route, instead of the 3" one.

just using the car eventually as a cruiser-with 140hp to start, not looking for track action-

p.s. my 396-375 runs low 12's with 2.25's and 15/8 " headers in a 65 lemans, 4.88 gear and cam, otherwise stock and never rebuilt since new in 1969-actually there was less rust on my 65 then the 85 camaro I have

It appears that these are not "in demand" for those needing emissions and worth selling to get non-emissions headers with enough money left to get the exhaust tied in , so i'll likely have to plug the holes as pretty as possible and bolt it up to the cat which i think it was designed to do.

Likely, and i'll get in trouble now, the 305 emissions motor without mucho bucks of parts and work, and "cheating" like 300 hp nitrous kit will ever propel the f-body to victory at the track. However, my lawnmower with that nitrous kit might be worth a go, or a rotary Mazda with dual turbos. Just having fun (tired of looking at the mess I am working on), am old, and old school, and not a fan of nitrous or turbos making a slow engine fast
