Because they're tiny 1.5 OD primaries... It's a lot easier to fit those in the engine bay.

Some people say these arent any better than manifolds... I dont buy that. If you wanna go cheap and dont care about going as fast as possible and dont have any real long term aspirations to make a race car out of it... I dont see any harm in getting them. There are much better headers out there, in fact, I think all of them are better. But they're better than manifolds...

If you dont need to worry about emissions, smog equipment, computers throwing codes, and dont mind the work, new spark plug wires, modifications, header gasket sealing struggles, and the tiny power gain... go for it.

Re: Hawks Third Gen Flowtech headers + Y pipe

well i've already got an exhaust system with headers, but my headers don't quite fit anything and I have no idea what they are, and i'm tired of fighting with true duels, so I'm just going to get headers and matching Y pipe, I can't imagine they'll flow worse than the headers I have, but we'll see.

I might need to bore them out a little bit to make them fit my weird partially ovaloid heads, though.
