Exhaust Question-- Cat Size
Guys
I was wondering what performance difference in terms of HP would I be looking at if I replace a converter with the 2.5 inch (inlet/outlet) with a 3 inch Hi-Flow cat. The rest of the exhaust system is stock 3 inch thru Magnaflow mufflers.
By the LOOKS alone it looks restrictive at the cat and the welding looks kind of "sloppy"... will there be any noticable difference in drivability if I were to get the larger cat converter? The IROC doesn't have headers. AND will the lower back pressure (if any) change the EGR functionality. I live in CA and get a little paranoid regarding the SMOG ****.
much appreciated in advance.
