To whom it may concern "MAC Cat Back"

Hi All,
It has been a while i have posted about anything but I recently installed a Mac Cat back on my 87 and am pretty pleased with it. It sounds good. Looks awsome, Went together with very little fit issues.. One of which being i had to get my own bolts for the flange that bolts to the converter. The other being is where it goes over the axle and back down to the muffler it seems to hit the inner fender well above the rear torque arm and brace above it. It sounds really good. Alot quieter than what I expected but never the less sound really good. It does not have that high pitched crackling noise, it does not have a loud headache drone or vibration going down the interstate. Just a nice good flowing exhaust that fit the bill very well.

I looked all over for video of this so i can hear it but i didnt come across anything that i could really tell how it sounded. If you are intersted in hearing a short clip of idle and rev i just uploaded to youtube .....
Check it out let me know what you think.. have any questions Ill try to answer.

Acutally after listening to the video compared to standing next to the car the video sounds a lil more high piched that it actually is.. Sounds alot deeper in person.

Re: To whom it may concern "MAC Cat Back"

Thank you. I did have to trim a lil off the intermediate pipe where it slips together to get the correct length for it to fit in the stock hanger location. I am happy with it and eventually may go with their headers and y pipe and possibly their cat delete pipe.

I am kind of concerned with the fit of the headers and y pipe before I buy so If any of you see this that might have used them or know of someone who has chime in...

I can't see there being a problem, I have Edelbrock's and they fit just fine. Same thing here I wager.
