Car: 1988 Pontiac Transam GTA Notchback

Engine: 2003 Chevy 5.3 Vortec (325 cu)

Transmission: 4L60E

Axle/Gears: 3.27

Third gen cat with rear 02 sensors (obd2)

I have searched high and low and can not find an answer. Can I run a third gen style cat with rear O2 sensors with my LS setup. And also I need a new ball end flange for my exhaust system because mine is Swiss cheese. Anyone know if I can get a obd2 cat with our type of ball flange or anyone know if I can run my cat if I replace the ball flange on it( cut and weld)?? Please help

Yes you can use an older cat and add a bung for a rear O2 sensor. (assuming of course, there's room somewhere for it... might end up in the I-pipe instead)
