Re: Y pipe

Most header manufacturers make a Y pipe specific to their product. I would probably be cheaper to go that route rather than having a custom one made up.

Re: Y pipe

Depends on the shop, $150-700 is a range I have seen.

I built a really nice one for about $250 in parts. Do not let a shop build one in the flotech style where the pipe is mounted to the top

This is a shitty way to do it

You want a decent merger

My friend had it on his car when he bought it. We build a mild 350 with a XR264HR-10 cam and world products heads.

For the longest time we played with the carb because when he mashed it there was a big stutter. Hours and hours of carb and timing tuning later we were no closer. We replaced the flowtech headers with hooker 2460s and this custom Y pipe and it was instantly gone. and we gained a ton of power though the entire band.

Re: Y pipe

Looks a lot like Dyno Dons Y pipe. Good job. Just look how many times the gas has the change direction on the drivers side before it just gets to the cat. I count 5. It's just such a shame that there is not more room under these cars to run strait back instead of having a bunch of restrictive 90 degree bends.
