O2 sensor stuck

I'm trying to replace my O2 sensor on my 87 LB9. It is the first and only one that I have replaced ( or tried to ) that is located in the exhaust manifold instead of the pipe. I cut the wire so I could use a deep well socket and have been soaking it for days with PB Blaster, I literally lift myself off of my creeper trying to break it free, with no luck so far. Anyone have some magic chemical or technique they could share with me ? ! Thanks in advance for any help !!

Re: O2 sensor stuck

Impact.

Use a box-end wrench and hit it with a hammer.

Not being a butt here, but make sure you are going the right way with it.
Lefty loosy, righty tighty. Mine was in for 25 years and I had no problem getting it out. Good luck

Re: O2 sensor stuck

Thanks for the advice, just managed to break mine free using a breaker bar with a 12" piece of pipe on the end of it. And I still almost lifted myself off the creeper

Thanks again ! !

Re: O2 sensor stuck

Try heat with a torch or butane torch. Breaker bar is a good idea too. I would say impact if you have one except I don't know if you do.

Not sure how he did it; but, in my limited experience, a gentle tickle with a BFH will do AHELLUVALOT more good than an hour of grunting and sweating trying to pull on a ratchet.
