Great article!

Hey everyone. Found this write up by David Vizard in Super Chevy Magazine. It's probably the best explanation I've found of exhaust function and how to set it up in for a specific engine's power band. All in one fairly brief and well written article. It's a great read. Enjoy! (Let's just see if I can actually post a link that works.)

Re: Great article!

I'm pretty sure that's a republication of a MUCH older article, like from the 90s or older. It is one of the better ones, but doesn't cover some newer stuff.

Re: Great article!

The date on the article is 2005 and reading the article, it seems like it was written in 2000 something. 10+ years old but still applicable. It's a brief discussion but one of the better I've seen. Definitely useful information.

I like that it discusses the use of the termination box to set collector length and tune for the engine's power band. The first article I've read that included this.

Re: Great article!

LOL. I was just looking around the net and saw the same photos used in the above article in an older article from Circle Track magazine. As you said, reprinted from an older article.

One thing I am a little stuck on is how to apply the termination box idea to a third gen with shorty headers. The problem is unequal length of the collectors. I'm still playing with ideas on how to make this work, without getting too wild.
