Catalytic converter funcionality
I have a question on exactly what a cat converter is exactly capable of. I took my smog test a few months back and failed about 4 times over the limit. So i oredered a new cat and when i went to put it on the old one was hollowed out. So im just wondering how much a cat is actually be able to clean up? Will it be the trick or is the cat not able to clean up that much of hydrocarbons. My nox was the only thing that passed. Just curious as I am about to get the rest of my exhaust in and will be testing again soon.

Yeah that should fix the problem. Or move to a state without smog tests
