89' formula catback suggestions
I'm in the market for a new exhaust, right now I have:
edelbrock shorty's
edelbrock catback
3" straight pipe (instead of cat)
I'm happy the way the exhaust looks and sounds right now, but the catback is rusted. what do you guys suggest? Also, I'd be replacing the 3" straight pipe with a 3" electric cutout. Here are the options I'm seeing, but I'm not sure which will work with my 3" intermediate:
Dynomax
Magnaflow
Flowmaster
another note, I don't want huge pipes in the back.... ideally I'd like something close to stock (like my current edelbrock)

Re: 89' formula catback suggestions
does it come in sections with clamps? on summit, it looks like its all one piece?
Re: 89' formula catback suggestions
Yes it comes in pieces so you can fit it in. The front long pipe, the piece that goes over the axle, then the muffler, then the two tail pipes. All separate. I recommend you toss the crush clamps and spend some money for exhaust band clamps. The don't crush the pipe and don't leak. They sell stepped clamps where i am at napa. Usually used on big rigs because they are always removing the stacks. Plus they are prettier

can I get the band clamps on summit as well? I'll take a look, thanks.
Does the magnaflow have the same size tips as the flowmaster? I would like something with smaller tips, closest to stock looking but still 3" intermediate

price the pieces from RA
I picked up a magnaflow muffler from Advance at a pretty decent price after 20% off.
