Heat Shielding with Hooker 2055s
I'm concerned about heat transfer from the Hooker 2055s to the starter and brake lines. I have <1" of clearance in some areas (even after bending the brake lines out of the way). Thinking of using something like this:

I had planned on cutting a piece to fit over the starter and wrapping small slices around the brake lines near the headers. Anyone done something similar, and how did it work for you? I know ceramic coating would be the ideal solution but I don't have that kind of money. Also, lots of debate on wrapping headers vs shielding heat sensitive parts; I think I would prefer to shield at-risk parts based on what I've read.
As always, appreciate any input!

Just an FYI: In the decade or so that I've been running the Hookers, I've experienced no issues with starter or lines.

Thank you for the feedback JamesC.
Mind if I ask if you're running the stock starter? And how much clearance you have on the lines?

That's definitely reassuring, I was thinking anything less than an inch would too close.
Thanks again!
