i have a 1989 rs with a 305 tbi i want to put a flowmaster on it to make it sound better. it sounds wimpy now i want more of rumble what do i need to buy and do to change my stock exhaust to a flowmaster sorry if i sound ignorant but i am new to the car scene.

i would stay away from flowmaster. it will give you sound but there are a lot of other mufflers that flow a lot more CFM. i have blowmaster on mine and i'm lookin to get rid of it.

 

Check out the poll, which is better Flowmaster of Hooker, there are sound clips of both.

 

A muffler alone won't make too much of a sound difference. Headers will.

 

Get Hooker Comp Shortie headers, the Y-pipe to go with them, and get the 3 inch Hooker cat-back exhaust. Your car will definitely sound mean if you do that.

 

A good muffler will give you a big sound difference!

 

does anyone have the part number to the hooker super comp headers and y pipe? im in the market for headers and a new exhaust, and how much would it cost for the pair?
