Quick question

Can anyone tell me, without spending time searching, if this is the stock muffler or an aftermarket one?

Re: Quick question

Not from that view, at least not definitively; but I think I see evidence that it's a replacement.

Easiest way to tell is, the OE muffler and the tailpipes, were all one manufactured unit. No welds. Replacement ones AFAIK all have the muffler and tailpipes as separate pieces, requiring welding or clamping where they meet.

I think I see the end of a clamp but I'm not positive that's what it is, making that a replacement.

Re: Quick question

looks like replacement of slightly size pipe, where the weld is.

That said, mine still has it's original exhaust (for a few more months...it has finally succumbed to rust), and it does not have all those round "coin" like impressions on it. The case is smooth, except for factory markings. But no "patterns".

Re: Quick question

Excellent, thanks guys. I am looking at investing in the Borla adjustable exhaust system for my vehicle, just trying to figure out what is already on there to begin with.

My friends say my car is too quiet . I don't necessarily disagree, but I also don't want to go too loud. Haha

Anyway, thanks again for the info.
